ANKARA

Istanbul side Kasimpasa on Sunday defeated Fenerbahce 2-0 with the help of Mama Baba Thiam and Yusuf Erdogan.

Played at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium, both teams were not able to break the deadlock in the first half.

Kasimpasa took the lead with Senegalese forward Thiam’s goal in the 55th minute.

In the stoppage time, the home team doubled the lead after Erdogan found the net, making it 2-0.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce found an equalizing goal with forward Mevlut Erdinc in the 88th minute but it was disallowed after VAR review.

Kasimpasa increased their points to 32 and sit in 11th place as Fenerbahce is in the seventh spot with 43 points.

All league matches are played without supporters in response to coronavirus pandemic.
