The president of Turkey congratulated Pakistan on Friday for the nation’s independence anniversary.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan, on the 73rd anniversary of their nation’s independence,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Twitter.
“On behalf of the Turkish people, I send my regards and love to all Pakistanis, with whom we have strong bonds,” he added.
Pakistan achieved its independence on Aug. 14, 1947 after centuries of British rule.
