GAZA CITY, Palestine
Palestinian health authorities registered 182 additional coronavirus cases in the blockaded Gaza Strip on Monday.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said the seaside territory’s tally rose to 1,151 cases, including nine deaths, and 89 recoveries.
The ministry renewed its calls on residents to adhere to precautionary measures to stem the infections, especially among children and the elderly.
The Hamas-led government imposed a lockdown in Gaza on Aug. 24 to help curb the outbreak in the blockaded enclave.
