ANKARA

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday congratulated his new Rwandan counterpart Vincent Biruta for taking the office.

In a phone conversation, Cavusoglu congratulated Biruta for assuming the office.

Biruta, who was previously serving as environment minister, was appointed new foreign minister — to replace Richard Sezibera — on the Nov. 4 by Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame.

The top Turkish diplomat wished the best for Biruta.
