KABUL, Afghanistan

A foreign employee of the UN was killed and five other civilians were wounded in the Afghan capital Kabul in a hand-grenade attack, an official said on Sunday.

Nusrat Rahimi, the Interior Ministry spokesman, told Anadolu Agency that a hand-grenade was thrown by unknown attackers at a UN vehicle at around 06.30 p.m. local time (1400GMT) in the Macroryan neighborhood of the city.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
