Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic has joined Spanish basketball team Valencia on a one-year deal, the club announced on Saturday.

“Valencia Basket has reached an agreement to incorporate Serbian international forward Nikola Kalinic for the upcoming season,” the club said in a statement.

“The player comes from Fenerbahce Beko, where he has played the last five seasons, being champion of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in 2017.”

The 28-year-old averaged 6.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26 games for Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague last season.

During his five years with the club, the Turkish side won the 2017 EuroLeague title and finished in the top four in 2016, 2018, and 2019.

Kalinic has an overall average of 7.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 166 EuroLeague matches.

He also helped the Serbian national team win silver medals at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Olympic games.
