ISTANBUL

Italy’s Atalanta and Germany’s Leipzig advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals Tuesday night. 

The second leg Round of 16 matches kicked off earlier in the day with four matches played so far.

Atalanta beat Spain’s Valencia 4-3 in an away game. The match was played behind closed doors without fans due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

In the first leg matches, Atalanta had also defeated Valencia 4-1 to have a strong case to move on.

Leipzig defeated England’s Tottenham 3-0 at home. An early Marcel Sabitzer double in the 10th and 21st minutes gave Leipzig a 2-0 lead
