ANKARA
The head of Turkey’s top news source on Friday congratulated Kazakhstan’s national news agency Kazinform on reaching its centenary.
“I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations on the 100th anniversary of your esteemed agency,” Senol Kazanci, Anadolu Agency’s director general, said in a letter to Askar Umarov, his counterpart at Kazinform.
Underlining how both agencies were founded in 1920, as this year Anadolu Agency also turned 100, Kazanci said their role remain crucial to the healthy functioning of societies.
“I firmly believe that the fruitful bilateral cooperation between Kazinform and Anadolu Agency and multilateral relations at international forums will continue successfully,” Kazanci added.
Kazanci wished Umarov and his colleagues all health and success in their future endeavors.
Anadolu Agency and Kazinform had signed a memorandum of understanding in 2014.
In 2018, the agencies signed a cooperation agreement which enables exchanging news in Turkish, Kazakh, English, and Russian along with many photos and videos.
