Albania’s Parliament on Thursday approved an agreement on military cooperation with Turkey.

According to the Cabinet, the agreement and a protocol on financial assistance will help the Albanian Armed Forces’ restructuring.

They were signed last fall by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Albanian counterpart Olta Xhachka.

The two NATO allies also signed in February a Defense Cooperation Plan.
