Ozkok Meets With Shevardnadze

TBILISI - Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok currently in Tbilisi on an official visit, met on Friday with Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze.
The meeting was closed to press.
Ozkok and accompanying delegation visited Turkish-Georgian Military Cooperation and Coordination Center and Military Academy within the scope of contacts and then departed from Tbilisi to return Turkey.
Georgia's request to develop and enlarge the military cooperation which had been continuing for a long time was brought onto agenda in the meetings. Turkey responded affirmatively to the request, and stated that it would examine the issue primarily.
Contacts of Ozkok were stated beneficial and pleasing for both sides.
