VIENNA - The 46th term meeting of the United Nations Office for Drug Control started on Wednesday on the ministerial level.
Turkey participates in the meeting with a crowded delegation lead by Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu and representatives from Interior Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Security Department, and Gendarme General Command.
Aksu is scheduled to deliver a speech in afternoon session of the meeting. Aksu will attract the attention of the participants that terrorist PKK/KADEK and TIKKO organizations financed their activities with illicit drug trafficking and stress that regional and international cooperation should be strengthened to fight against illegal drug trafficking.
Interior Minister Aksu is expected to meet with interior ministers of Pakistan and Belarus within the scope of his bilateral contacts.
The meeting will also continue tomorrow.
