ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Tuesday that revision on economic program targets was not on the agenda at the moment.
Babacan said that they would make an evaluation on that issue according to the situation in coming months.
Babacan, who attended spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, replied to questions of reporters at Esenboga Airport.
Upon the question whether new treasury undersecretary was determined, Babacan said that it was not clear yet.
Babacan also said that a new three-year country aid strategy with the World Bank would be started.
Upon a question regarding one billion U.S. dollars donation which would be given by the United States, Babacan said that signatures of the United States about this issue had not been completed yet but he did not think there would be a problem. He added, ''we have not started negotiations about when the package will be put into effect. We have reached an agreement with U.S. Secretary of Treasury in our meetings that the issue will be taken up in coming weeks.''
Babacan said that they reached an agreement that International Finance Committee (IFC) which was an institution of the World Bank that provided finance to private sector would be more active and support new projects in Turkey.
Noting that they had reached a consensus of opinion with the World Bank to decrease the cost of unused credits, Babacan said that they would provide saving worth of 75 million dollars only from this item.
Babacan said that they agreed with the President of American Eximbank that an important amount of decrease in cost would be provided in projects guarantee costs in the investments in Turkey. He added that he had explained Turkey's economy policies and investment opportunities in meetings with American investors.
