URGENT MEASURES REPORT FROM TOBB TO ERDOGAN
Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the Chairman of Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), presented a three-page report to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and wanted measures to be taken.
Hisarciklioglu said, ''don't make debt panic, take steps particularly that would convince foreign markets. Be careful of capability while changing the bureaucrats.''
Hisarciklioglu warned that confidence should be installed immediately.

IMF LETTER IS COMPLETED, BABACAN TO HOLD NEWS CONFERENCE
State Minister Ali Babacan will hold a news conference today to say that a compromise has been reached on the letter of intent with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and that the letter would be sent.
Central Bank Governor Sureyya Serdengecti and Treasury Undersecretary Faik Oztrak will participate in the news conference.

THREE IRAQI DIPLOMATS DEPORTED
Turkey completed the examination which it made upon the request of the United States before starting of war to close down Iraqi Embassy, and decided to deport three Iraqi diplomats.
The diplomats were found to hold activities which contradicted with the assignments of National Intelligence Organization (MIT). The diplomats will leave Turkey till April 11.
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said the Iraqi diplomats were deported on charges that they hold activities going beyond their mission.

''CHANGE FROM NOW ON'' MESSAGE FROM GUL TO DENKTAS
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul paid a visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Saturday, and stated that they would continue to work on the Annan Plan which was rejected in The Hague.
Gul said, ''it has become a habit to accuse TRNC President Denktas. Accusations attributed to him are unjust, and this should be given up.''
Gul told Denktas that the world was changing, and told him not to miss this change.

CERTAIN GUARANTEES ARE GIVEN TO IMF ON FOUR ISSUES
Fourth review bargaining with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is completed with a five month delay, and additional letter on intent was signed. The outlines of the letter will be announced today.
It was stressed in the letter that 42 thousand people will be discharged from State Economic Enterprises within eight months. There won't be any more amnesty. There will not be banking risk. Privatization will be accelerated, and state will be narrowed. Increase on salaries will not be more than the inflation rate.

SUPPORT FROM GUL TO DENKTAS
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul expended support to the ''Confidence Building Measures Package'' of President Rauf Denktas of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Gul said everybody should take steps for a comprehensive and lasting solution.
Gul stressed that April 16, when EU full membership of southern Cyprus would become definite, was not a final date for solution, stating that continuation of embargoes on Cyprus could not be accepted as embargoes throughout the world are lifted.

SARS MEASURES FROM MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Ministry of Health increased measures against ''Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)'' virus, which caused death of 79 people in far east countries. A SARS working group was established within the body of the Health Ministry, and it was stated that special units would be formed in provinces.

PARRIS: INCIRLIK MAY BE EVACUATED
Mark Parris, who had worked as U.S. Ambassador to Turkey between 1997-2000, said relations between Ankara and Washington would be taken up again following Iraq war. He said as a result of the changes in the region, the United States may not stay in Incirlik Base in Turkey.
FIRST STEP TO INTEGRATION
Ankara started to take action, after rejection of the proposal presented by President Rauf Denktas of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to Greek Cypriot side, and as Greek Cypriot side would enter the European Union (EU) as full member.
First step was taken for integration between Turkey and the TRNC. Government decided to facilitate passage of TRNC citizens to Turkish citizenship.

HERE IS REALITY
The real intention of the Europeans who continuously put forth new conditions before Turkey's European Union (EU) membership was documented with a ''hidden camera'' during the Copenhagen Summit. A documentary film on Copenhagen Summit which was shown on Swedish and Danish TV clearly shows that the EU is delaying Turkey. Prime Minister Rasmussen of Denmark, the EU Term President then, clearly stated in his speech which was recorded by a hidden camera that Turkey would never be included in the EU.

POWELL WANTS, THREE IRAQIS DEPORTED
Turkey announced three diplomats working in Iraqi Embassy in Ankara ''persona non grata'' upon the demand of the United States. Three Iraqis were asked to leave Turkey till April 9.

EU SHOULD NOT CONFIRM DIVISION IN CYPRUS
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, who went to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) when critical days are being experienced in solution of Cyprus issue, sent ''peace warning'' to the European Union (EU) which was getting prepared to accept the membership of the Greek Cypriot administration. Gul said that the rules of that accession should not close the doors of a solution by confirming the division in the island. Gul said that insolubility was not a solution.
