Germany Opens Honorary Consulate In Trabzon

TRABZON - Germany opened an Honorary Consulate in northeastern province of Trabzon.
A reception was held at Zorlu Grand Hotel on Thursday.
German Ambassador to Turkey Rudolf Schmidt said that many German citizens visited the region and stated that German people who came to Turkey visited not only the southern part of the country.
Stating that there were many Turkish people in Germany, Schmidt said that relations between the two countries were improving.
Schmidt said that Ihsan Alioglu who would serve as honorary consul would protect and further develop relations between the two countries with his knowledge and experience.
