ANKARA - Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi is expected to come to Ankara in the weekend.
Sources said on Thursday that if there would not be any change in his program, Kharrazi was expected to arrive in Ankara on Sunday, April 6 and start his contacts on Monday, April 7.
Last week, Kharrazi telephoned Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, and they exchanged their opinions about latest developments in Iraq.
In a statement, Kharrazi said that Turkey, Iran and Syria should carry out consultations on Kurdish issue which was the common factor of concern in existing warfare. Kharrazi also asked Turkey not to send soldiers into northern Iraq.
Gul came together with Kharrazi during his visit to Iran in January when he was serving as the Prime Minister.
