ANKARA - Foreign Ministry Spokesman Huseyin Dirioz said on Tuesday that Turkey was ready for all kind of cooperation regarding humanitarian assistance to Iraq, adding Turkey had contacts with EU representatives in Ankara in this framework.
Upon a question about the issue, Dirioz said that Turkey attributed great importance to the issue of humanitarian aid.
Recalling that Turkish Red Crescent started its activities to help the Iraqi people, Dirioz said that a delegation from the EU came to Ankara in this framework and that Turkey was discussing with EU Term President Greece and officials from Brussels the issue of humanitarian assistance.
