ANKARA - Prime Ministry Crisis Center said on Monday that there has not been any refugee inflow toward Turkey because of the military action of the United States against Iraq.
Prime Ministry Crisis Center issued a statement and said the center has been established on March 14, 2003 with respect to a possible refugee inflow that may be caused by military action of the United States against Iraq.
The statement said full coordination and cooperation could be provided with the ministries, civilian and military institutions, Diyarbakir Regional Crisis Center, governorships and Turkish Red Crescent.
The statement said utmost care has been shown to deal with the problems at the moment, and to continue the efforts properly.
The statement said necessary planning have been made to overcome the security, room and board, health and social needs of people who will be hosted in humanitarian support camps.
Humanitarian aid support of U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, other U.N. institutions, NATO, International Red Cross Committee, states who propose aid, and international NGO's started to come to Turkey under the coordination of Foreign Ministry.
