ANKARA - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday that Turkish foreign policy was balanced and there was not much place for feelings and adventures in it.
Speaking in the opening of the 39th Training Programme given for new Turkish diplomats by the Foreign Ministry Academy, Gul started his words saying ''both you and me are new in the Ministry.'' Gul said that the profession of diplomats was difficult and it required great responsibility, stressing that Turkey was a big country with its history, geography, and population.
Gul said that the members of the Foreign Ministry contributed significantly to Turkey with their experience, adding that ''I am pleased to see that more than half of the new diplomats are women.''
