ANKARA - Daylight saving time will start at 1.00 a.m. on March 30, 2003 in order to save energy.
The standard time will be set forward by one hour at 1.00 a.m.
The daylight saving time will end at 2.00 a.m. on October 26, 2003.
A total of five billion 594.7 kilowatt-hour of electric energy has been saved in Turkey since 1990 due to daylight saving time practice.
Turkey aims at saving 580 million kilowatt-hour of electric energy in 2003.
