Prime Minister Erdogan Withdraws His Application

STRASBOURG - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan withdrew his applications to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against Turkey.
ECHR officials told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that they received Erdogan's petition yesterday.
According to Article 37 of the European Convention of Human Rights, the ECHR is envisaged to take a decision whether or not the application would be excluded from the records.
After being sentenced to 10 months in prison by the State Security Court (DGM) in 1998, Erdogan applied to the ECHR in 1999.
Erdogan applied to the ECHR last year by saying that his suffrage was taken, his freedom of expression was violated and he was not tried fairly.
