ADAPAZARI - Athens Aegean University's political science expert Herkul Milas said that friendly relations between Turkey and Greece should be further improved and continued.
Milas who delivered a speech at a symposium entitled, ''Communication With Europe Is Being Reestablished'' said that nationalistic attitudes and policies in Greece and Turkey should change and added that they should make good use of the common culture between the two countries for peace.
Stating that the two countries had many common points, Milas said that the two countries had an historical tie. Milas said that but there had been cold periods between the two countries from time to time due to wrong policies and noted that Turkey and Greece should overcome it. Milas said peoples of the two countries were in favor of peace and friendship, stating that peoples have tried to take significant steps to this end in the recent years.
Sabanci University's International Relations Department lecturer Dr. Bahar Rumelili said that peoples of the two countries should further fight for peace and friendship and added that nationalistic attitude in relations should change.
