ISTANBUL - Besiktas soccer club of Turkey was defeated by Lazio of Italy 2-1 in the UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg match in Istanbul on Thursday.
Besiktas got its first and only goal from Sergen in the 83rd minute while two goals of Lazio were scored by Fiore and Castroman in the first half.
Thus, Besiktas lost its chance to advance to semifinals.
