ISTANBUL - Turkish Airlines (THY) temporarily cancelled its flights to Kuwait after number of passengers decreased due to Iraq war.
Faik Akin, a THY official, told reporters on Thursday that any country had not sent them any information that they had closed airspace to flights. He said that they decided to suspend flights from Istanbul to Kuwait on Mondays and Thursdays when number of passengers decreased due to Iraq war.
There was a sharp decrease in number of passengers especially in Japan, Spain and Italy flights, Akin added that there was currently not a problem about flights to the United States and Israel.
