ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer said on Thursday, ''there is not any change in our views about international legitimacy on the Iraq issue. I do not find it right that U.S. behaved unilaterally before the process in the United Nations Security Council ended.''
President Sezer received Pakistani Ambassador Sher Afgan Khan.
During the meeting, Khan presented his credentials.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Undersecretary Ali Tuygan was also in attendance at the meeting.
Responding questions of journalists prior to the meeting, President Sezer said, ''there is not any change in our views about international legitimacy on the Iraq issue. The United Nations Security Council process on Iraq should have been allowed to finish. I do not find it right that U.S. behaved unilaterally before the process ended.''
Responding a question about the Prime Ministry motion, President Sezer recalled that he had held a meeting with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier in the day.
''During our meeting, Prime Minister Erdogan told me that they would seek allowance of the parliament to open the airspace,'' he added.
