Khalilzad: Meeting Of Opposition Will Take Place On Tuesday

ANKARA - U.S. President George W. Bush's adviser for Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad said on Monday that Ankara meeting, which will bring together representatives of some Iraqi opposition groups and officials from Turkey and the United States, would take place on Tuesday.
Khalilzad, who made a statement following his meeting with Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal, said they had exchanged views about the meeting which would take place on Tuesday.
Khalilzad said they would take up issues pertaining to Iraq, and particularly the issues which concern the sides regarding northern Iraq.
Following the five-way meeting, a second meeting will take place on Wednesday in which Shi'ite and Arab opposition would participate.
Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani, Iraqi Turkmen Front Chairman Sanan Ahmet Aga, Iraqi Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) official Nechirvan Barzani, Khalilzad, and Turkish officials will participate in the meeting.
