ANKARA - Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani, Iraqi Kurdistan Democrat Party (KDP) representative Necirvan Barzani and Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) leader Sanan Ahmet Aga came to Ankara on Sunday evening to participate in the meeting on Northern Iraq.
Upon questions of reporters at Esenboga Airport, PUK leader Talabani said that he was pleased to come to Turkey, adding ''we will discuss issues that concern us with our Turkish and American friends.'' Talabani said he would give further details only after the talks.
Sanan Ahmet Aga said in his part that dialogue was important, adding he hoped everything to be better.
Turkish officials, U.S. President Bush's adviser for Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad and the officials of the three parties in Northern Iraq will attend the meeting which is planned to take place on Tuesday.
Diplomatic circles said that the meeting would be a turning point for the future of Turkmens and for Turkey's Northern Iraq policy in case of a possible operation against Iraq.
