ISTANBUL - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the government showed and would show every kind of sensitivity on Iraq crisis and Cyprus.
Erdogan participated in the 9th Provincial Consultation Assembly meeting of his party.
Prime Minister Erdogan stressed that it was their obligation to develop every part of this country, stating that everybody had to undertake new responsibilities in this respect.
Erdogan said, ''it is known that Turkey is going through difficult days. Our people assigned us to solve all the problems. They have confidence in us. Don't have any doubt that our government will show necessary sensitivity on the Iraq crisis and Cyprus question.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said necessary measures would be taken in economic field, noting that the government would continue to implement the policies which aimed at decreasing inflation.
Erdogan said continuation of policies on price stability, decrease of public borrowing stock, and rapid economic growth would be their ''indispensable priorities''.
Stating that the government was resolved to decrease public borrowing stock, Erdogan said thus the real interests would decrease rapidly and economic atmosphere would become more appropriate for investment and employment.
Erdogan said their government was resolved to financial discipline, noting that financial discipline should be based on measures which would increase productivity in structural reform and public.
