Yakis: The United States Did Not Make Any Official Request To Use Our Air Space

ANKARA - Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis said on Wednesday that the United States did not make any official request to use Turkey's air space.
Addressing journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yakis noted, ''we have not received an official request of the United States to use our aid space yet. It was understood that such requests were mentioned in unofficial meetings.''
Responding another question, Yakis said, ''when we receive such an official request, we will assess whether or not it requires decision of the parliament.''
When asked whether or not a new motion was prepared, Yakis said, ''first of all, we should decide whether or not a new motion is required.''
