Annan Proposes New Timetable In Cyprus

THE HAGUE - The meetings between the TRNC and Greek Cypriot delegations who came together on Monday in The Hague upon the call of the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan continue.
Annan proposed a new timetable to the sides in Cyprus during the evening part of the meetings which continued in the building of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
According to this new timetable, TRNC and the Greek Cypriot side will continue to negotiate the peace plan until March 28. A period until March 31 is also given to Turkey, Greece and Britain, as the guarantor states to reach an agreement on the plan. Turkish and Greek Cypriot sides are asked to put the peace plan, which would be negotiated, to referenda on April 6.
Turkish and Greek Cypriot sides wait for an answer from Turkey and Greece regarding the new timetable proposal of Annan while the negotiations continue.
