ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that some changes would be made to the new government.
Erdogan replied questions during a program on private Turkish-CNN channel.
Noting that Prime Minister Abdullah Gul had successfully passed a test in an extraordinary period, Erdogan said that they did not act separately with Gul during his term in office as the Prime Minister, and they had exchanged their views every day even on the phone.
Erdogan said that they would rapidly fulfill the necessary procedure for formation of the new government after the Higher Electoral Board (YSK) announced the results of by-election. Upon a question whether a change would be made to the cabinet, Erdogan said that he would evaluate its performance with Gul.
When asked whether it meant that some ministers would be changed, Erdogan said ''Yes, we will make all necessary changes to the government.''
