ANKARA - Elections will be re-held in southeastern Siirt province on March 9, Sunday.
A total of 119,210 registered electors will cast their votes in 568 ballot boxes in Siirt on Sunday. Citizens will cast their votes between 06.00-15.00 hours.
Turkish Communist Party (TKP), Labour Party (IP), Republican People's Party (CHP) and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) will compete in the election of Siirt. Other parties said they would not join the election.
According to the decision taken by the Higher Board of Election (YSK), only two parties namely AK Party and CHP which passed the ten-percent threshold in the Nov. 3 elections, can have their deputy candidates be elected from Siirt. Totally three deputies will be elected from these two parties.
The names of deputy candidates of parties are as follows:
TKP: Muharrem Mýrýk, Emine Serpil Renda, Deniz Unver.
IP: Zeki Karahan, Yusuf Celik, Bayram Yurtcicek.
CHP: Ekrem Bilek, Abdulhalim Cýnar, Abdurrahman Kaysi.
AK Party: Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Oner Gulyesil, Oner Ergenc.
