ADANA/ISKENDERUN - Routine activities continue in ports and Incirlik Air Base which have importance in case of a possible operation against Iraq.
Only a few transport and tanker planes took off and landed at Incirlik Air Base in Incirlik hamlet of Yuregir township in southern Adana province. Ground operations in the base are also calmer than previous days.
Ship traffic which was intensive in previous week is calm now in southern Iskenderun Port. A ship, named ''INGO J'' and hired by NATO, unloaded containers to the port on Monday and departed.
Meanwhile, preparatory works are carried on in the port which was constructed with the finance of NATO near Tasucu hamlet of Silifke township in southern Mersin province. Containers in port field were also replaced by the new ones.
