Turkish - U.S. Chamber Of Commerce Becomes Operational

NEW YORK - Turkish-U.S. Chamber of Commerce which was established in New York to develop commercial relations became operational on Monday.
Turkey's Trade Attache in New York Akin Kinikli was chosen as the President of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Commerce while Yuksel Akca became the Vice President.
Twenty-five members of the executive board were also named during the meeting.
Administrators of the chamber said that trade with the United States, the biggest market in the world with annual import of 1.3 trillion U.S. dollars and 36 thousand U.s. dollars of income per capita, would be accelerated after the chamber had been established.
The administrators listed the goals of the chambers as follows:
-Increasing trade between Turkey and the United States,
-Ensuring cooperation and solidarity among Turkish companies working in the United States,
-Contributing to solution of problems of Turkish businessmen having business deals with the United States,
-Increasing investments of U.S. companies in Turkey.
