Tuzmen: Parliament's Decision Is Clear Sign Of Democracy In Turkey

KHARTOUM - State Minister Kursat Tuzmen, who is currently in Sudan, said the decision of the parliament on the prime ministry motion of sending soldiers abroad and deployment of foreign soldiers in Turkey, was the clear sign of existence of democracy in Turkey.
Responding to questions of journalists about the motion which was rejected in the parliament on Saturday, Tuzmen said that the decision was taken in line with the national interests.
''How will this democratic attitude of the parliament affect economic balances?'' asked a journalist to Tuzmen who said that ''this is a process and it continues. I think the decision is assessed in Ankara in details now. The government will undertake studies about potential effects and alternative scenarios. I will join these studies when I return back to Turkey. Every decision has its positive and negative effects. The thing that matters is to assess them well.''
