Patriots Sent By Netherlands Start To Be Unloaded In Iskenderun

ISKENDERUN - Patriot missiles which were sent by the Netherlands to Turkey to back Turkey's air defense in case of a possible military action against Iraq started to be unloaded in Iskenderun port on Wednesday.
Ro-ro ship named ''Rozano'' which departed the Netherlands on February 18 and approached to Iskenderun port on Tuesday started to unload military equipment it was carrying.
Besides Patriot missiles, heavy vehicles and ambulances were unloaded from the ship. These vehicles and ambulances were transferred to Iskenderun Naval Support Detachment Command.
Another Ro-Ro ship named ''Gute'' which departed from the Netherlands on the same day is still waiting in the Gulf for completion of procedures.
Meanwhile, Dutch personnel who will work during and after the deployment of missiles in Turkey is expected to be in Turkey in the afternoon.
The Dutch government had decided to send three Patriot missiles upon the demand of Turkey.
