LEFKOSA - Britain's Special Representative to Cyprus Lord David Hannay met with representatives of political parties in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Tuesday.
Hannay met separately with officials of National Unity Party (UBP), Communal Liberation Party (TKP) and Republican Turkish Party (CTP).
Hannay made no statement regarding his meetings.
Following his meeting with Hannay, UBP Secretary General and Guzelyurt deputy Suha Turkoz said that there were no matters which would relieve Turkish Cypriot people and which would not cause any troubles between the two sides in the Annan's third plan which was expected to be presented to the sides on Wednesday.
Turkoz said, ''this plan causes troubles. We conveyed our concerns over the issue to Hannay at the meeting.''
''Why an agreement is made? It is made to remove problems. It should be in that way. As far as we see, efforts are not exerted on that issue,'' Turkoz stated and noted that there were still some problems in the Annan's plan.
Turkoz stressed that Turkish Cypriot people should think of the future and said that they expressed again their views that plan should include matters which would not cause any troubles in the future at the meeting.
TKP leader Huseyin Angolemli said that they discussed the third plan with Hannay and stated that the new plan was much more improved.
Stating that the plan was very important for Turkish Cypriot people, Angolemli said that senate issue was revised in a way that Turkish Cypriot side wanted.
Angolemli said that the new plan responded to demands of Turkish Cypriot side and stated that there were also some changes regarding demands of Greek Cypriot side.
He added that this opportunity should not be missed.
