ANKARA - A group of members of Greenpeace, an international environment organization, held a demonstration in front of the parliament building on Monday to protest a possible U.S.-led military action against Iraq.
Members of the Greenpeace chained themselves to each other and laid down.
They painted their clothes red, which they described as the color of blood.
Greenpeace Energy Campaign official Melda Keskin said, ''the motion about deployment of foreign soldiers in Turkey and dispatch of Turkish soldiers abroad will be submitted to the parliament tomorrow. Therefore, we have decided to hold a demonstration in front of the parliament building.''
