ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that they would not take any group decision on the issue of Prime Ministry motion about deployment of U.S. soldiers in Turkey and dispatch of Turkish soldiers abroad during the debates at the Parliament and added that it was everybody's duty to respect the decision of the parliament.
Erdogan responded questions of journalists at Ankara's Esenboga Airport after his arrival from Istanbul.
When a reporter told Erdogan, ''it was mentioned that the United States will provide Turkey with an economic assistance worth of six billion dollars. Can you confirm this amount?'' Erdogan said that he could not because he did not hear such an amount. He added that Turkey had economic, political and military demands but he did not know such an amount among those demands.
Upon a question whether he heard about positive developments concerning the negotiations and whether a development could happen until Monday night, Erdogan said that he did not know whether those developments were true or not.
When asked, ''will the AK Party, which has the majority at the Parliament have enough support during the debates on the motion?'', Erdogan said that he had told his ideas on this issue in his earlier statements and added that they, as AK Party, would not take any group decision on this issue and it would be everybody's duty to respect the decision of Parliament.
