WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkish Ambassador to the United States Faruk Logoglu said on Sunday that main target of the Turkish Army in Northern Iraq would be dealing with humanitarian issues.
In an interview with the CNN TV Channel, Logoglu said, ''a certain number of Turkish soldiers will be deployed in Northern Iraq in a possible military action against Iraq. Main target of the Turkish Army in Northern Iraq will be dealing with humanitarian issues. We all know that a number of people will have to leave their homes in such a military action.''
Logoglu explained Turkey's concerns about flow of refugees into Turkey in a possible U.S.-led military action against Iraq.
