ISTANBUL - Tourism Minister Guldal Aksit said on Saturday that increase in Italian investments on Turkish tourism would contribute to further improvement of political and economic relations between the two countries.
Speaking at a meeting in Istanbul, Aksit said that she was in Italy a while ago to attend Milan Fair and she launched initiatives to increase cooperation and improve touristic relations between the two countries.
Giovanni Sesana, the President of the Executive Board of Brevivet company, a partner of Insieme Tourism which organized the meeting, said that tours as a part of belief tourism were being organized from Italy to Turkey.
Sesana noted that Turkey had a rich culture.
Italian travel agents, representatives of Italian non-governmental organizations, and Italian press attended the meeting.
