Yakis: Agreement Is Very Close With United States

ANKARA - Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis said on Saturday that negotiations had not yet ended with the United States regarding Iraq crisis but an agreement was very close.
A meeting was held regarding Iraq and Cyprus issue under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Foreign Minister Yakis, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal, Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Baki Ilkin and Director General for Cyprus Department Ertugrul Apakan attended the meeting.
When he was reminded about the news stories that an agreement was reached by the United States on economic issues following the meeting, Yakis said that negotiations had not yet ended but an agreement was very close.
