GAZIANTEP - Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region exported 55 million 189 thousand U.S. dollars of products in January 2003.
Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Associations said on Friday that they exported 19.4 million U.S. dollars of products to Italy, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Germany in January.
Italy imported 5.5 million U.S. dollars of dried fruit, cotton and synthetic thread from the region and Saudi Arabia imported 5.1 million U.S. dollars of synthetic thread and machine made carpet from the region.
The United States imported 4.4 million U.S. dollars of dried fruit textile products, towel and machine made carpet while Germany imported 4.1 million U.S. dollars of dried fruit, synthetic and cotton thread and cotton textile products from the region in January 2003.
