ANKARA - Banks' credit volume decreased 114.5 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 41 quadrillion 138.9 trillion TL between January 31 and February 7, 2003.
The total credit volume at banks had been 41 quadrillion 253.4 trillion TL on January 31.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 1 quadrillion 34.9 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 457.3 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 224.6 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 33 quadrillion 622.8 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 549.4 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
