ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation continued its talks at the Treasury on Thursday.
Sources said that the delegation headed by IMF's Turkey Desk Chief Juha Kahkonen took up general financing and personnel structure of the state economic enterprises.
Reduction in especially redundant positions at state economic enterprises is among the issues to which the IMF gives priority.
Following talks with the IMF delegation, economic bureaucrats came together and continued their work on 2003 year budget.
Meanwhile, sources said that IMF delegation's contacts under the fourth review of stand-by deal were under way although an important progress had been recorded in talks.
Following completion of the fourth review and approval of the letter of intent by the IMF Executive Directors Board, IMF will approve nearly 1.6 billion U.S. dollars tranche of loan.
