Negotiations With U.S. Cancelled

ANKARA - The negotiations with the U.S. on Thursday could not be held as the U.S. administration has not yet responded to the questions of the U.S. delegation in Ankara on certain issues.
Diplomatic sources said that the U.S. administration has not sent necessary instructions regarding the issues about which the U.S. delegation wanted to get information and today's negotiations were cancelled due to that reason.
Sources said that there were certain uncertainties in Wednesday's meetings and the American officials consulted to the U.S. administration about these issues, but they could not get any response back due to the time difference.
The same sources stressed that the cancellation of today's negotiations should not be interpreted as negative and this didn't mean that the negotiations were ended.
Deniz Bolukbasi chairs the Turkish side and Marisa Lino chairs the U.S. delegation.
