Dogfish-2003 Exercise To Be Held In Central Mediterranean

ANKARA - Dogfish-2003 Submarine Defense War exercise will be held in the Ionian Sea/Central Mediterranean between February 20 and March 2.
A statement of Naval Forces Command said on Wednesday that the maneuver would be conducted by NATO Allied Naval Forces Southern Europe (Comnavsouth) and NATO Command Submarine Southern Europe (Comsubsouth).
Air and above water coordinated maneuver against submarines, underwater cooperation and coordinated submarine defense war will be put to test during the exercise.
Submarines and vessels from the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal, Greece and Turkey will join the maneuver.
TGC Preveze and TGC Yildiray submarines will represent Turkey in the maneuver.
Turkish submarines will visit Augusta port of Italy between February 17 and 20 and March 6 and 7 as a part of the maneuver.
