DIYARBAKIR - A meeting was held on Wednesday in southeastern Diyarbakir province on preparations for an inflow of refugees in case of a possible U.S. operation against Iraq.
Diyarbakir Governor Nusret Miroglu chaired the meeting while governors of Sirnak, Batman, Hakkari, Mardin and Van, a delegation each from the General Staff and Red Crescent, and representatives of several public institutions and organizations attended the meeting.
Preparations in the places across the border and for the refugees who may come to Turkey were taken up at the meeting.
