ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said on Monday that Turkey did not want to be the injured party again in case of a possible war on Iraq.
Replying questions of reporters, Sahin said that Turkey had to take lesson from the former incidents.
Sahin noted that Turkey could take a step in case the United States responded positively to Turkey's sensitivities.
''We have some expectations. We want to take lesson from the former incidents and don't want to be the injured party again in case of a possible war. A new package covering economic, military and political issues should have been presented to the United States today. If the United States responds positively, we will also take a step,'' Sahin added.
