ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Monday that they were trying to put the economy on the right track again.
Replying questions of reporters, Babacan said, ''there were some commitments which had earlier been made, but which have not fulfilled yet. The country was away from financial discipline. Now, we are trying to put the economy on the right track again. It is a very difficult thing to put the economy on the right track again.''
Upon a question on the package on which Turkey and the United States could reach a compromise, Babacan said, ''there are some economic, political and military issues on which consensus has not been reached yet.''
