ANKARA - Labor Party (IP) protested on Monday a possible operation against Iraq.
A group of nearly 100 IP members convened in Sakarya street in Kizilay district and shouted slogans.
IP Secretary General Mehmet Bedri Gultekin released a speech and said that even Germany and France which were the closest allies of the United States were against the United States. He added that the United States aimed to control main energy resources of the world and control its possible rivals such as France, Germany, Russia, Japan and China.
Group then marched to U.S. Embassy and placed a black wreath on which ''No to American attack against Iraq'' was written in front of the embassy. Group later dispersed peacefully.
